On Erin's recommendation, I played an interesting game this evening. It's called Settlers, I believe, a kind of board game, centred upon a hexagonal island composed of 19 smaller hexagons, each with a different terrain. Several different players would be placed on the terrain and challenged to build competing colonies, exploiting scarce resources neighbouring their colonies, trading, and generally trying to crush the other ones. I'd enjoyed myself. It was a fun game.

(We were originally supposed to play Diplomacy, but we were two players short of the six needed to play the Great Powers of Europe circa 1900.)

It was a fun evening. I spend far too much time by myself, enclosed on myself, not with other people. And this evening shwoed that I can, and enjoy myself, and be quite pleasant to be with. I like this.
